1. WE ARE ALL GIVEN CHOICES.

THE ABILITY TO MAKE OUR OWN DECISIONS IS A GOD-GIVEN CHARACTERISTIC AWARDED TO MEN MADE IN GOD’S IMAGE.

Exodus 17:9  And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.

 2. WHAT GROUPS OF PEOPLE CHOOSE IS WATCHED AND JUDGED BY GOD.

1 Chronicles 21:8-11  And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech Thee, do away the iniquity of Thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.  And the LORD spake unto Gad, David’s seer, saying,  Go and tell David, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things: choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.  So Gad came to David, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Choose thee

The judgment came, not upon David so much as all the people who chose to allow him to rule without following God’s will.

HAVE YOU EVER WONDERED WHY SO MANY PEOPLE IN A NATION SUFFER WHILE IT SEEMS THE LEADERS GET BY WITHOUT ANYTHING DRASTIC HAPPENING ?   THE PEOPLE ALLOWED IT, AND GOD FOUND THAT TO BE MORE SINFUL THAN THE ACT OF THE KING.

 3. GOD DECIDES THAT SOME PLACES ARE MORE PLEASING TO HIM THAN OTHER PLACES.

Deuteronomy 15:20  Thou shalt eat it before the LORD thy God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, thou and thy household.

 4. GOD SELECTS THOSE WHO WILL BE ESPECIALLY CLOSE TO HIM.

Numbers 16:5  And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are His, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto Him: even him whom He hath chosen will He cause to come near unto Him.

 5. GOD CHOOSES US FOR SPECIFIC WORKS.

Deuteronomy 18:5  For the LORD thy God hath chosen him out of all thy tribes, to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons for ever.

 6. GOD DOES NOT MAKE THE SAME CHOICES AS MEN.

YOU ARE BLESSED BECAUSE OF GOD’S LOVE AND WISDOM, NOT THE ABILITIES YOU LEARNED FROM MEN.

1 Corinthians 1:27-28  But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;  And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

 7. GOD CHOSE YOU FOR SALVATION.

Ephesians 1:4  According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:

 8. CAN THE WORLD SEE THAT GOD’S CHOICE OF YOU–IS NOT WISE ACCORDING TO THE WORLD, BUT FULL OF BLESSING FROM ABOVE FOR YOU.
