GENESIS–THE DAYS OF CREATION
THE THIRD DAY
Rising of the ground. The waters were all located in one area, as well.
Genesis 1:9-10 “And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.”
The creation of plant life.
Genesis 1:11-13 “And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.”
What do these things need ?
- Water–and they had that.
- Nourishment. And they had that, too.
- Light. It was missing !
WHAT DOES THIS IMPLY ? WHY IS IT IMPORTANT ?
- The grass, herbs, and trees could not have survived millions of years, as evolution suggests, without the presence of photosynthesis–which requires sunlight. If we accept the Bible’s chronology, we know that the sun did not appear until the next day. According the evolution, this would have been millions of years later.
- Either the Bible is wrong, or evolution is very mistaken about the timeline of creation. Of course, we know that the Bible is RIGHT.
THE FOURTH DAY
THE PURPOSE OF THE SIGNS
- THESE SIGNS ARE USED BY GOD AS A WAY TO REVEAL FUTURE THINGS.
SPECIAL SIGNS IN THE HEAVEN. MATTHEW 2:2-7, 9-10. WE HAVE SEEN HIS STAR IN THE EAST
SIGNS OF OUR LORD’S COMING. LUKE 21:25.
SIGNS OF JUDGMENT COMING. MARK 13:24-26-THE ANGELS–“REAPERS”
—MATTHEW 13:-28-30–THE REAPERS BRINGING PEOPLE TO JUDGMENT.
–SIGNS DURING THE TRIBULATION. ACTS 2:17-21.
–SIGNS OF GOD’S POWER OVER THE CREATION BEING JUDGED. Revelation 8:12 “And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.”
- SIGNS GOD GIVES FOR WEATHER. Matthew 16:2-3.
- SIGNS FOR SEASONS, DAYS, YEARS. Genesis 1:14 “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:”
- SIGNS OF GOD’S AMAZING KNOWLEDGE AND WONDROUS POWER. Psalms 147:4 “He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.”
- GOD’S CREATION NEEDS LIGHT TO SURVIVE. IT CAN EXIST ONLY FOR A SHORT TIME WITHOUT LIGHT. (Thus, if we follow the Biblical account, it would be impossible for biological life to exist without light for millions of years, as evolution says).
–EVEN IN HEAVEN, LIGHT IS ESSENTIAL. BUT, IT WILL BE THE LIGHT OF THE LORD. Revelation 21:23 “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”
THESE SIGNS ARE NOT GIVEN FOR THE PREDICTIONS OF A PERSON’S DAILY ACTIVITIES.
NOT TO LEARN THE WAYS OF THE HEATHEN. Jeremiah 10:2-3 “Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.”
GOD’S SIGNS ARE BETTER THAN THOSE OF THE ASTROLOGERS. Daniel 1:19-20 “And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.”
ASTROLOGERS CANNOT DETERMINE THINGS GOING ON NOW. THEY ARE FAKES. Daniel 5:15 “And now the wise men, the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not shew the interpretation of the thing:”
ASTROLOGY CANNOT SAVE THE SOUL. Isaiah 47:11-13 “Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know. Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail. Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.”
THOSE WHO PREDICT FROM THE STARS ARE ON GOD’S FORBIDDEN LIST. Deuteronomy 18:9-12 “When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.”
CLARIFICATION: There are different forms of light. Some exist through the chemical make-up of the material itself. Other types reflect the light from another object. Still another – the sun, produces light. The type of light required for plants and for photosynthesis to occur required the creation of the sun. Other types of light existed prior to that, but sunlight was needed for plants.
THE FIFTH DAY
CREATION OF THE FISH AND FOWL.
BIRDS HAVE BEAKS. FISH HAVE STILLED FACES. NOTICE THE CHANGE IN THE ABILITY TO HAVE EXPRESSION AND SHOW EMOTION. THE FARTHER ALONG, THE MORE THEY BECOME LIKE GOD, AND ARE ABLE TO CLEARLY EXPRESS THEMSELVES. ANGER, HATE. LOVE, CARE.

ONCE AGAIN THE BIBLICAL PHRASE “AFTER HIS KIND” IS USED. THE WORD “KIND” IS EQUIVALENT TO OUR WORD, “SPECIES.”
MAMMALS NOT TO BE INTERBRED WITH OTHER SPECIES OF MAMMALS. Leviticus 19:19 “Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.”
SEEDS, WORKING OF ANIMALS, AND CLOTHING NOT TO BE INTERBRED OR INTERRELATED. Deuteronomy 22:9 “Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with divers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled. Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together. Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.” ***Just because you don’t understand the reason for this does not mean that it is all right to violate a command of God. God knows things that we don’t. Trust Him, and follow His commands.
