ELIJAH WILL BRING BACK BIBLICAL TRUTH TO THE JEWS.
Matthew 17:11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
PEOPLE WHO REPENT RESTORE WHAT WAS TAKEN AWAY.
Luke 19:8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
1. TRUE RESTORATION INVOLVES GETTING RIGHT WITH GOD.
IT IS MORE THAN MATERIALLY PROVIDING WHAT WAS TAKEN. BEING MADE WHOLE IS AN ACT OF RESTORATION. REPENTING IS AN ACT OF RESTORATION.
Judges 17:1-6 And there was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Micah. And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my son. And when he had restored the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee. Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah. And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest. In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
2. GOD RESTORES THINGS IN A VARIETY OF WAYS. HE IS NOT BOUND BY SOME MAGICAL FORMULA.
Mark 3:5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
Mark 8:25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
Luke 6:10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
3. ENTIRE FAMILIES ARE BLESSED WITH GOD WORKING WHEN THEY EXERCISE FAITH.
ELIJAH GAVE INFORMATION TO THIS FAMILY SO THEY COULD SURVIVE THE COMING FAMINE. IT WAS NOT COMMON KNOWLEDGE. IT IS DIVINELY GIVEN TO HIM, AND HE PASSED IT TO ONLY THEM.
2 Kings 8:1 Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the LORD hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years.
4.GOD IS ABLE TO BRING THINGS BACK TO BETTER THAN ORIGINAL.
Psalms 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
Psalms 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
5. GOD WANTS HIS CHILDREN INVOLVED IN RESTORATION MINISTRY.
THIS TAKES MANY FORMS, BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE IS GETTING A PERSON’S SPIRITUAL SIGHT, SPIRITUAL HEALTH, BACK TO WHERE IT OUGHT TO BE.
Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
6. RESTORING A HOUSE FOR OUR SOUL AND SPIRIT.
John 6:39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
