1. THERE’S A LEAK SOMEWHERE.
A HOLE CAUSED BY INSISTING ON DOING THINGS OUR WAY INSTEAD OF GOD’S WAY.
1 Samuel 28:20 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.
B. HOLE CAUSED BY UNEXPECTED INFORMATION FROM GOD. MOSTLY ABOUT JUDGMENT THAT PEOPLE DID NOT THINK WOULD OCCUR.
The devastation which God has said would come to earth in the last days is enough for the blood to drain from a person’s face when they hear the full impact. You have NOT heard the FULL impact of it in detail yet !
Daniel 10:16 And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
Isaiah already thought he was cleansed, but in the presence of God, he realized he wasn’t as clean as he thought. God’s light exposed sins he didn’t see before.
Isaiah 6:5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
2. STRENGTH IS BEING USED UP IN THE LESS IMPORTANT THINGS.
A. TRYING TO PLEASE GOD THROUGH MINOR THINGS, BUT LEAVING THE IMPORTANT THINGS UNDONE.
Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
3. THERE IS NO RECHARGING OR RENEWAL. NEED TO TAKE IN MORE STRENGTH ALL THE TIME.
Ezekiel 34:15-16 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.
Ezekiel 34:16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
ELIJAH. 1 Kings 19:7 And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
THERE IS A CYCLE WHICH MANY FALL INTO–They are weak, so they do less, then become weaker, so they do less which results in them being even weaker.
GOD BLESSES THOSE WHO WAIT UPON HIM…. WITH RENEWED STRENGTH. ***When you realize that you have no strength, but are challenged with a new crisis, you HAVE to depend on the Lord. This brings more strength.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
4. GOD IS READY TO RESTORE US.
A. YOU MUST ASK FOR HELP.
Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
