MAINTAINING HAPPINESS:
GROWING THROUGH FAITH


Understanding the mind and heart of a true fool.

1. HIS DOUBTS ARE KEPT PRIVATELY. 1:1
   A. HE DOESN’T WANT OTHERS TO KNOW.
B. HE DOESN’T WANT PEOPLE TO CONFRONT HIM WITH EVIDENCE.
TYPICALLY DOES NOT WANT TO SEEK KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. 14:2

—WHY ? DESTROYS HIS HIGH SELF-IMAGE, CREATES CONFLICTS &
CHOICES BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL, WOULD RATHER PARROT
PHRASES FROM VISIBLE MEN THAN LOOK TO GOD, THE OMNIPOTENCE
AND OMNISCIENCE OF GOD IS BOTHERSOME.
C. HE IS MORE INTO COMPLAINING THAN PROBLEM RESOLUTION.

2. HE DIDN’T START OUT AS A FOOL. (A SINNER, YES)
A. HE BECAME A FOOL—GOES ASTRAY, BECOMES FILTHY.
B. HIS CHARACTERISTICS REVEAL HIM.
